PMS Schedule Mitsubishi Guide for New Car Owners
By Richard Cuagdan, Mitsubishi Sales Executive ·
Quick answer: Your PMS schedule (Mitsubishi or any brand-new car) is simple to follow. PMS (preventive maintenance service) is the scheduled check-up in your owner's manual and warranty booklet, set by kilometers or months, whichever comes first. Follow those intervals at an authorized service center, keep every receipt, and use the free labor on your all-in package for the services up to 5,000 km.
Bagong kotse, bagong responsibilidad. The easiest way to keep a new car reliable, and your warranty in good standing, is to follow its PMS schedule. Here's what you need to know without the jargon.
What PMS is (and isn't)
PMS means preventive maintenance service: scheduled check-ups that replace fluids and filters and inspect wear items before they fail. It's not a repair visit. It's how you avoid repair visits.

Where to find your schedule
Your exact PMS intervals are in your owner's manual and warranty booklet. Each interval is set by kilometers or months, whichever comes first. So even if you barely drive, the car still needs its check-up when the months are up.
- Check your odometer once a month and note the next due kilometer.
- Put the due month in your phone calendar on release day.
- If you drive in heavy traffic, on rough roads, or carry heavy loads every day, ask if the severe-service schedule applies to you.

What usually gets checked
Each interval has its own list, but most PMS visits cover some of these:
- Engine oil and oil filter
- Air filter and cabin (aircon) filter
- Brake pads, discs and brake fluid
- Coolant, power steering and other fluids
- Tires: pressure, tread, rotation
- Battery, lights, wipers and belts
- Underchassis and suspension

Free labor up to 5,000 km
The all-in package includes free labor up to 5,000 km. That covers the labor on your early services; parts, oil and fluids are usually paid. Ask the service center what's covered before your visit so there are no surprises. Costs vary by model and interval, so always ask for a written estimate.

PMS habits that protect your warranty
Book ahead
Service centers get busy before long weekends. Book a few days early.
Stay on schedule
Missing intervals can affect warranty claims. The all-in package comes with a 3-year warranty, so protect it.
Keep every receipt
Service records help with warranty claims and resale value later.
Mention anything odd
Noises, warning lights or vibrations: tell the service advisor so they check it during PMS.
